The Unbreakable Warrior She Is Today

The Unbreakable Warrior She Is Today

A Poem by Anita

This poem is a heartfelt tribute to an elderly woman, likely the author's mother, who is celebrated as a "beacon of resilience." Despite her waning physical and mental strength, she finds profound pea

"
There she sits, a beacon of resilience, in the tiny little world that has become her sanctuary. Many times she gazes out into the far yonder, beyond the window to a world that now seems like a distant memory. As she reflects on the jagged edges of fond memories she smiles and whispers words of gratitude to the Father above. Though her physical strength and mental agility may be waning, her inner peace, self-confidence, and self-care remain unwavering. Her life's journey, with all its twists and turns, has forged a strength that only she possesses. Life may have dealt her unfair blows, but her soul remains aglow with peace, compassion, and an unshakeable love. She will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched. Her life's path led her to this haven where she finds solace and a sense of purpose. Though her external world may have shrunk, her inner Warrior remains unbroken, carrying the torch of hope and resilience. Fight on, brave Warrior, fight on!

*May the fight you fought to become the Warrior you are today be forever your guiding light, my dearest Mother*

Yes I have a warrior like her > she often remarks
'It should be me looking after you.'
She has her TV games _ colouring books - cross words - a view of the street - the garden on warm days - too much food (At least she is not hungry) she plans our meals - wants to go outside on cold, wet, windy days
