A Circle Of Love

A Circle Of Love

A Poem by Anita
"

This poem is a poignant tribute to an unbreakable family bond, celebrating a mother her daughters. Despite the changes, the enduring power of love and memory shines through, a Circle unbroken by grief

"
Once, they stood together, a smile on each face,
A mother and daughters, each holding her place.
Her arms strong and warm, her heart full
of grace.
Four souls intertwined, a familial
embrace.
At eighty, she danced with life in her eyes,
The years held no weight as they reached
for the skies.
Together they laughed, shared memories
and dreams,
A bond forged in moments, as steady as
streams.
But time, like a river, keeps moving ahead,
left unsaid.
The mother now wane, her mind drifts
away.
A shadow of memories, now fading each
day.
Yet, the daughters remain, though one is
no more, Her spirit lives on, with love
at the core.
Through grief and through joy, they still
her near,  Her presence forever,
a whisper they hear.
The mother, though distant, still knows who
they are,
Her heart a lighthouse, no matter how far,
For love transcends time, it never does
fade,
It's carved in the memories that can't be
erased.
Now they hold hands, through laughter
and tears,
Woven together through the passing of
years,
The picture the carry of what once was
true,
Is now shared in hearts, as they honor her
too.
They'll stand side by side, through joy
and through pain,
Their circle unbroken, through sunshine
and rain.
For family is timeless, it doesn't retreat.
In their hearts, together, they're always
complete.

To the Reviewers:

This poem captures a family's journey through time, contrasting a cherished memory of a vibrant mother with a present reality marked by profound loss. It navigates the dual heartaches of a parent's cognitive decline and the passing of a sibling. The central theme is the resilience of familial love—a bond that transcends time, grief, and even fading memories to hold a family together, forever complete in their shared hearts. What do you think of the dialogue?

The piece holds space for grief, joy, aging, and remembrance , yet leaves the reader with warmth rather than sorrow.
