The Desert Holds Us

The Desert Holds Us

A Poem by april_moonflower

more rambling. BBL to edit and maybe add to it.

"

Like blankets of fresh moss

The mountain side is covered

Brown greens into itself

The desert stirs and comes alive

Life grows

Love blooms

A pair of hawks circle on the wind

A magnificent and courtly dance

Breathe and spirit are one

The pink sky fades into purple

Into a knowing nothingness

The river is flowing

A dry bed filled with tears

Thirsty to create life

Puffy monsoon clouds rollby

Into the night we lay entwined together

Silently, like the vast and expanse eternity surrounding us

Stars so close you can almost touch them

You can almost hear them fall

The desert sighs and holds us content in her arms

For one more night.
