Betrayal II

Betrayal II

A Poem by Chirag Kumar

Used like a cigarette stick,
as I burnt myself,
to be relished by her
with every puff,
only to realize
being crushed,
to the grounds of humiliation,
once the purpose was dispersed.
The stench of betrayal
haunts her lips
till eternity.

I like the metaphor in this, as even a ciggie is a betrayal pretending to be your friend but is actually killing you!

Treachery kills you while you still live.
Beautifully put this in so few words.
I loved the interesting intensity of last three lines, the best.

Betrayal, is the bane of my conscious self. I think it as a crime worse than murder>

It kills a person every moment.!
You may have been used, but then again Chirag, from your writing I expect you enjoyed it anyway and moved on. Hahaha. Fun piece I liked even if you were the butt of the story is seems.
