Game of stares

Game of stares

A Poem by Chirag Kumar

A dare to stare.
Contest begins.
His eyes seduce hers with his gaze.
She rebuts with fiery looks,
to snatch a hasty win,
but, she doesn't know that,
by that time,
he had already lost.
for he stood witness
to a whole new world,
in her lustrous eyes.
He wished to dwell deeper,
but, normalcy stormed in,
and he saw her eyes,
painted red,
still wide open,
pleading to succeed.
Just then,
a teardrop oozed out,
sliding down her cheek,
only to rest on his right hand.
He blinked.
She rejoiced, for the game was won.
He rejoiced, for his heart just lost.

You are a good poet, my friend.
I am even happy with your grammar here and poem punctuation.
A good job all around.
