"I Love You"

So I leaned over to her ear and whispered ”I love you” Looked to the sky, came a reply ”Her's is a heart that's true”

As my wife has often told me

”you know I love you dear”

Those eyes so kind, a sweet remind

of joy that fills each year

”So why not share your devotion

by telling the whole Earth

Shout from the hill, the inner thrill

show me what love is worth”

So I leaned over to her ear

and whispered ”I love you”

Looked to the sky, came the reply

”her's is a heart that's true”

”I hoped you'd share with everyone

the dreams this truth unfurled”

”I did my dear, lest you not fear

for you are my whole world”

She is the beginning of my life the end of wanderings. My last and greatest love, My heart my soul my treasure.
