With the girl I loved most in life

I walked in street lamps glow

Could she hear my heart calling

for the love I never show

 

Treading lightly along beside

her footprints marked the snow

The warmth of heart I felt for her

I doubt she will ever know

And oh...having problems in expressing or showing love is just worst...think how many of such precious gems are away from their lovers only for this one reason... :( but, have heard "Everything happens for well"

My two favorites; The Beatles AND Roy Zimmerman! I never heard that song before, just his hilarious parodies and fun folk music. Quite a difference from THE LAST MAN and THE FAUCET'S ON FIRE!

Yep, I know it well. My favorite P&G song? Lady Godiva, of course! Peter Asher's sister, Jane, was dating Paul McCartney back then. I had the album, of course. I think it was 1964, Also on that album...LADY GODIVA! That's all I remember about P&G. I will be ordering a book!Watch for me.

The song you shared as well as the image and your title for this poem really speak to the reality of footsteps within a season of one's life. We all have unique periods in our life which point to our own feelings with the special one we may look back on as a pure jewel. This sweet little poem was a jewel indeed.
