Temporary Fix

"It's a temporary fix, my love

An impermanent stitch.

A break is all we need-

Time for our hearts to breathe."

 

When the time is right

We'll reconvene

 

A week?

A month?

A half a year?

 

How long til wounds will mend?

 

9 months have passed...

Stitches dissipated

 

The wound appears healed on the outside

Perfectly pink for all to see...

 

But the gangrene is underneath.
