Avoiding It All

Avoiding it all,
The pain,
The humiliation,
The stupidity I feel when it all comes out.
If I tell one thing,
You make me feel useless,
Stupid,
Insecure,
Unneeded.
You try to tell me what to do,
Tell me to tell people how I feel.
I can't do it.
Once again,
You call me stupid,
Insecure,
And then tell them for me,
Saying you are doing me a favor.
I tell you not to,
Beg you not to,
Plead with you.
You do nothing,
Refuse to listen.
I get to the point
Where I don't tell you anything.
I don't tell you anything,
I want to avoid it all.

First lesson with my wife. Be quiet and listen. A powerful poem. I don't waste time with people who do not listen. You wrote a powerful poem with some wisdom. Ending told it all. We can close doors to friends and lovers by being one-sided in conversation. A excellent first chapter.
