Waiting For You

Waiting For You

A Poem by ragingwinds
"

A girl's vision while waiting for her love.

"
My hair sways in the wind.
Time passes on.
My eyes stray to a puddle .
It shows a happy young woman as I look on.
As i look on my mind remembers our first moments.
My heart started to race,
my lips curled into a smile at your joke.
Then in the blink of an eye,
the setting changed.
We both are old,
Our youthfulness gone but our love has not.
As i lie on my deathbed,
my kith and kin scattered across,
wailing and tearing.
Yet there is only one face i long for,
before I give in to eternal slumber.
My eyes give way slowly losing focus.
My heart skips a beat as i come out of my daydream.
Eyes tearing I look on ,
the puddle becomes clear of ripples reflecting a new image.
A young man full of life and love smiles back.
The familiar feeling of love enthralls me as i run,
enveloping myself in your arms.
 Forgetting the future,
forgetting the past ,
because the present is on.
