A Poem by Alexandra

Part I:
Green was the edifice
Until it cracked
& home was split into two
Diverging & creating a gulf between two lovers far too wide to reconnect ever again

Part II:
Brown soothed the closing wound
Washing it with kindness & loving affection
Disinfecting the very sickness that infected my body for years & some months
How thankful for your presence
How beautiful it is to be wanted by you

Part III:
Healed enough to love again
I begin rebuilding a home with you
Creating an edifice stronger than what was once broken
An infinite love far bigger than us both
No divergence
No gulf
Only you & I for forever & more
