Dia

A Poem by Alexandra

Drag me through the sidewalks of NY
Make every cut bleed & swell
Patch me up at the nearest subway stop
& promise me you'll repeat again

No kiss on Houston St.
No poetry on W. 22nd St.
Not even a dance near 34th St.
Can possibly alleviate this pulsing headache
Burrowing me into the very ground you kneeled down on
Promising me forever & always

Tormented by July's sunflowers
& February's trip
I've already forgotten what green eyes look like
With only four walls to protect me from the next episode
I can't promise I'll be the same if you see me again

Alexandra
I found this one scribbled in an old notebook, so why not.
