He Walked By & Said Nothing

He Walked By & Said Nothing

A Poem by Alexandra

Let's try this one more time:
Whatever became of you
Has only been a swift digression of what you used to be
I remember New Years Eve when you stood so fearless as the icy wind blew your hair in all directions
You were fucked up
But so was I
Everyone looked at us
We shared a whole packs worth of cigarettes as we stared at the clock
Not midnight, not yet

Either you told me you loved me that night or neither of us did
I felt too down to even echo a word
There was no point to conversation considering the music drowned all outside noise out
So only imagery is held intact with these fragmented drunk memories

Inhale
Exhale
Pass
Inhale
Exhale
Flick
Inhale

And the memory fades
