The Comedown

The Comedown

A Poem by Alexandra

The pain is real
The anxiety buries me further and further into the ground
Darkness clouds my peripheral
And I feel November sinking in

Bus stop
Walking in the rain
No coat
No umbrella
Feet sinking in the mud
Opening door
Dropping to the floor
No sense of direction
Lost in consciousness
Rain drops & tears blinding me

Laid there for hours
Sobbing to our favorite songs
Holding onto my cold, wet body
Into darkness
Trying to hold it all together

November
Breaking point
November
Lost of identity
November
Don't come back
