Rehabilitation

A Poem by Alexandra

Intertwine your body with mine
Feed me the very purity I fell in love with back in the day
Flood me in your deepest waters
And let's ebb & flow

I never loved your eyes more
Than I had before
How can you love someone so flawed, darling
How can you love someone like me
Broken & always torn in half when brought to you

Pick up the pieces that remain
And place me together
On your Queen size bed in South Jersey
And tell me again how you were right all along

That he was never the one
And he was never supposed to be
But, I'm glad you're back home again
