Pretender

Pretender

A Poem by Alexandra

Your stuff is on the porch
Between the plants and a broke umbrella
What consist of it:

1. Pack of Newports: cigarettes we smoked occasionally since the month of January. Hope you still consider to keep routine. Hope you don't mind I took a couple cigarettes.
2. Tattered Vans I ordered for you at Urban. I still find it funny how busted up they are.
3. Pictures of us taken from the past 7 months. Enjoy them, cause it was either they went with you or I burned them completely. One of them is from a bowling alley on our first date. I quote, " Egg heads."
4. Gov Ball ticket. A gift from me to you, I worked so hard to give you that gift. It was all worth it when I saw your eyes light up. I hope you'll hold that memory with you.
5. Clothes from the various nights you slept over. Not so significant, but it's funny how much something so small can fill up the space & was always there to remind me how you'll be coming back to see me soon.
