Emily

Emily

A Poem by Alexandra

I smoke cigarettes to forget there was a time between you and her
At five in the morning I uncovered your secret
That there was more to this than I had initially thought
That Emily exists and she is here to stay

Forever in my memory
and forever engraved in the smallest of echoes
She comes to life when I'm most upset

Did you like her better or was it just cause she filled the space in your bed?
