Men Like YouA Poem by Alexandra
My boyfriend plays the guitar
While I play with words Fuckheads think you can't "do" art because you curse But, if this is what the soul begs than it must be delivered This poem is dedicated to the woman subjugated to the perspective of men: My eyes wander to the peripheral of you behind the locker A push & a shove and I'm already in Begging for the air that is too restricting for a girl at the age of 9 I used to think you were so cool But, school wasn't safe anymore for anyone like me Consistently grabbed by those of the opposite sex And opposed at corners before class rang out I hope you realize what you've done I started to curse to find my strength And cried to find my soul All was lost All because of men like you. © 2018 AlexandraFeatured Review
