Bukowski

A Poem by Alexandra

Stayed in the Barnes & Nobles
Pulling poetry books left and right to find the answer to the answers to these problems that we’re having
And you haven’t said a word since you left last night at 3
And I wonder if you’re thinking of me and everything in between
Because you are still here with me
And you are the only thing in my life

And if it’s too cold when the nights get cold
I’ll be a five minute drive south
And if you ever need a shoulder to cry on when things aren’t going the way you like
I’ll be a phone call away
And if you ever want to find a new shirt for that new girl
I promise I’ll keep every option for you in mind

I want to plan everything for us through your eyes
And if being friends is how you see it
Than friends is what will be
