Anita Cheated & I Stood Still

Anita Cheated & I Stood Still

A Poem by Alexandra

I danced with venom in my body last night
Me and my dear friend intertwining bodies like it was sex on the dance floor
I didn’t miss you at all. I promise.
So I think I told Dan to stop asking me about you when I walked into Sharkeys afterwards, that “we’re not the same person so stop asking!”
I chugged so many drinks and did so many drugs, I don’t know if I’ll feel the same again
By the end of the night, everyone depended on me going home
But, what no one knows is what Anita told me a second ago:
“Alex. You couldn’t stop saying his name and you kept crying. Alex, you looked so scared.”
