In the Morning When I’m GoneA Poem by Alexandra
I would’ve done it in another five minutes.
Claudia called to tell me she was outside. I started to pack everything, but she already walked through the door. She told me she’s not leaving me alone until this resolves. So I ate dinner with Ant I went to the movies afterward and I had to come to her house. And I’m going to sleep here until she knows that whatever happened in the room never happens again. But, we all know that that’s not true. Tomorrow I drive to Massachussets alone. And I’ll retry again. © 2018 Alexandra |
