What Was Supposed to Happen

What Was Supposed to Happen

A Poem by Alexandra

We would've been leaving the heart of Salem by this time
Planning dinner by the Boston Harbor
Returning to our hotel
Making love endlessly as loud as we like

Planning for the nightlife
We would go out drinking and return home inebriated till muscle movements are fluid kinesthesia
You are so good at breaking down these barriers
These fake barriers
Allowing you in once again

Pulled hair
Extended backs
Bookmarked scars on our bodies
When you make love to someone for over 500 days straight
You already know what this physical entity has been through
The plump vein on your neck
The hole at the bottom of your left lip
The inner thigh sensitivity
My mouth gliding in all areas you've never been touched before '

Let's face it
Who would ever write about you
When you are my art piece
I work on your image everyday
Crafting the very words to keep you eternally
You'll leave and these pages will stay for you to return
A web that forever binds you to me
You will never forget even if you want to

Enjoy your friends
Enjoy your girls
Enjoy your parties
At the end of night, you'll return to the web in the subconscious
