Green Eyes Brought Me Home

Green Eyes Brought Me Home

A Poem by Alexandra

My ex has the most beautiful green eyes
He drives me around in his Toyota Corolla
I think he thinks we’re good together
I just hope he doesn’t think I’m a burden to his life
Dragging a boulder of rocks suck when the person you love loves a man with no virtue

This vice to spend time with you once a week
Driving around my town
I think he knows that I think this place is a piece of s**t
“I don’t mind this place, it’s like everywhere else I’m willing to go”

So we drink coffee and watch a film in my room
So you’re looking at me making sure I’m looking at the film you’ve seen 33 times

Austin,
Thanks for picking up my phone calls and easing this depression. If I get better it’s because you drove 50 miles to pick me up from the floor.
Your Old Love,
Alexandra
