Planting SeedsA Poem by Alexandra
If you said no
Then he would’ve said yes Hop on the train to NY Watching snow accumulate on the ground Delay per delay At least I made it Criss cross around the streets Finally arrived at my destination This is probably the first time I ever went to NY alone Today I woke up on the 15th floor New Yorkers are little ants slushing through the crosswalks I wonder why I haven’t thought of moving here You can become so small But in this moment, I felt revelations to be someone bigger than this My writing has been taking such deep turns ever since I spoke to Gary on Mary Oliver last Wednesday I was so afraid “Do you think he’s going to ever talk to you again?” “Not sure. But I love your view” © 2018 Alexandra |
