Honeybee

Honeybee

A Poem by Alexandra

Undressing is the most awkward part of any tell-tale sex scene
Maybe what keeps me going is the alcohol infused in my blood stream
Capillaries opened
I’m so flushed, love
There is such difficulty in shaking these feelings down
I’ve grown to be the most cruel, self destructive person in this planet
And you don’t care enough to even know my name
What do I say to that?
Absolutely nothing.
I’ll put my jacket back on and walk out.
Because there is nothing I ever wanted more, but to tell a man that I am worth more than this.
