Anita’s Mad

Anita’s Mad

A Poem by Alexandra
"

If you honestly believe everything I write is true to word. There’s a problem.

"
She’s yelling over the phone
Trying to tell me where I went wrong for the 100th time in this last month
“Alex, you need to stop lying. You’re making this a habit”
What a drag
To live a life in the reality or the scheme of things
I like what Gary said better
Add fiction, take yourself away from the story and see what happens
This is a much better idea
Craft stories
Scenes
And People that never existed
Let the reader second guess what’s true or not
And let them run to tell their companions the fallacy
Bukowski probably did that
Or maybe not
Everything’s rotten, I think.

But, I know what Anita means.
Just not right now.

I understand the fact that living in your own little bubble is perfect sometimes. But sadly reality comes along and kick you right between the legs if you're a man. Or a woman punches you in the face. A nice interesting perspective of being slightly mad. But yet again. Maybe that is a better way to deal with sadness, upset and trauma. As your so involved inside your own mind made story going on inside your head.
