Anxieties Past Midnight

Anxieties Past Midnight

A Poem by Alexandra

I tell Stephanie I have no idea what the f**k is going on
Walker tells me to walk the line of maturity and take a hike, but don’t rely on pride
Steven laughs endlessly with me about all the possibilities
Charles promises there’s nothing to miss
Luke tells me how pretty I am today
All of these people around me
New people
People I’m growing emotions for
And yet, I feel so alone
And so confused
