Epilogue

Epilogue

A Poem by Alexandra

I arrived home to the sound of quiet, tranquility that only my space heater can give me. Undress fully and look at the mirror for the 15th time, in a month I’ve lost 10 lbs. Good thing I held myself together so well after crying in the locker room for 15 minutes. At least it was about me for the first time, I cried about bigger things that had nothing to do with you. I had a little hump, but like always: humps are good to realize the eventual. Last night was the eventual. Took double of my dosage of Xanax prescription. Called you to tell you, “ I’m ready to continue.” Today will be a day to remember. I’m ready, you have no idea.
