A Poem by Alexandra

Hazel eyes
Saturate the peripheral
If you could do this again, what would you say to me first?
You knew this was wrong to begin with
So why would you let your friends down?

“Alex, Im just trying to be careful.”
Be very
If you’ve heard anything about me
It’s cause I’m probably the most lethal thing on the planet
I’m toxic
I’m overwhelming
I’m mentally sick
But, you’ve been stopping me in my tracks for the last week & a half
You’ll kiss me and tell me
“No, just stop. He made you think that. You’re fine the way you are”

So will take our medicine before we go to bed
You’ll show me music so I don’t feel so miserable
I’ll tell you about my life
You’ll whisper to me secrets about others that I’ve never known
I’ll tell you how beautiful this is
You’ll plan the future

This is what I’ve always wanted
To be loved by someone that accepts me for who I am
Unapologetically.
