How This Works

How This Works

A Poem by Alexandra

I'm not one to wait on my knees any longer
The darkness is always so warm
So quiet
So eager
To wait for you to open the doors again
For me to collapse in your arms
Aching for your warm touch
Those delicate brown eyes
Those warm hands on my frail body

Close the door.
Resume position.
Water this plant, love.
Feed me.
How I would wait to die for you.

Looking back at her.
How disgusting.
It's no surprise you left her
So needy
So overwhelming
That kind of woman goes no where in life
I too also would've left her in her own disparity

But if you ever return home
Water yourself, love
Get on your knees and
Resume your position.
