Baby

Baby

A Poem by Alexandra

I've been finding myself in your bed these last couple of nights
You call me in such hurry
"Alexandra, I need you"
Well, I need you to realize this is just way too crazy
How can you expect me to delve into something like this
When my heart is held together by the very hinges
You are the best I ever had
That's the truth
If only you could know that morning kisses
Are the remedies for these 4:30 AM drives to your house
You're always so drunk
So in love
And I'm always sober
Drunkenly falling for you
You're too much
The way you confidently fall into me
These ambers
These light greens
Your eyes
It's too much to swallow
How can you want me
When I don't even want myself to be here anymore
Fernando was all I had
He was my ethereal
Stephanie reals me in
Before I go too far into that sentence
You bring what you have to the table
Grab my hair
Tug it hard
Love this body that has been left abandoned
Place your mouth between these thighs
And tell me this is where you belong
You're the lover I've been yearning for
Bring me home.
