Risperidone

Risperidone

A Poem by Alexandra

“You don’t look like you’re Bipolar”
If I can tell you how many times I wanted to reach over this table and kiss you
You would understand where this side of me lies
“I can control it”
No, you can’t.
That’s why you woke up on Raritan Rd. instead of your twin size bed at home
“How’s the medication?”
“It does it’s job”
I couldn’t have scoffed harder in my head.
If I could tell you that I take anti-psychotics during the day and Xanax during the night
You would also think I’m crazy.
“You’re a very interesting person”
Ah, yes.
Just what this crazy girl wanted to hear.
