I Found Your Achilles Heel

I Found Your Achilles Heel

A Poem by Alexandra

Today I decided to not shield you
Maybe this was by habit all along
Trying to protect you so others don’t see who you are
I’m trembling
I am just as scared of you
As I was then
And that’s why this needs to stop
Resign yourself
And go away
The last thing the people want
Is a dying warrior get back on his own two feet

The feeling comes through powerfully in this brief poem, making one wonder at the story behind it. The last line, however, needs some work. Possibly changing get to getting would make the meaning clearer.
