Feel The Love

Feel The Love

A Poem by Alexandra

Sweet lover from 19
Serenade this body just for tonight
I'll echo my voice through these walls of your newly built home
Remember when we ran into your guest room
With only undergarments on our bodies
To hide from your mother entering the house
But we couldn't stop
You were enthralled in this body
I was enthralled by the moment

Let's fast forward three years later
You've been f*****g Dayna to make ends meet
Unfortunate truth:
Does she know you text me I Love You every night?
It must be awful to know she's left overs

"Love is Futile," I text Michael
So I'll let you f**k me
But I'll never let you love me
I said goodbye before he even had a chance to mention another date in mind
It always ends in his bed
So what's even the point?

"I just wanted to check up on what you're doing," Dayna writes
11:30 PM
By that time, his head is already between my legs
My hands are up to the ceiling
My mouth opens wide
My face scarlet red
I'm so sorry, Dayna
I am the most selfish person on the planet
But, he was never yours to begin with
None of them are.
