Oxycodone

Oxycodone

A Poem by Alexandra

I kept repeating in my head
“Capture this moment”
You never let me face the other way in bed
You always want me facing you
So you can always kiss me at any point
You love waking me up that way

When the sun rises through your blinds
You’re on top
Domineering for a split minute
Before you’re underneath
You’re frustrated
But, I’ve learned to not be the beggar

We ebb & flow
You pour yourself into me
I’m the basin holding all your strengths & weakness
You keep pouring all this love
I’m willing to carry
I’m willing to hold you with my two hands
And meet you on the same grounds

Wide eyes
You’ve been hurt too many times
And I’ve hurt too many times
This may just work
