"Mom, Something's Wrong With Alex"

"Mom, Something's Wrong With Alex"

A Poem by Alexandra

I am everything I need
I am grounded on two feet
I have the strength built on pills
When I die;
Remember my name

"Don't let him affect you, that's exactly what he wants"
And I'm sorry my brother had to call for you to come downstairs
Because his sister was on the basement floor sobbing
And I know its not fun having to grab me from the floor
And you're crying because this shouldn't be happening
"F**k him"
Is all I can utter when you hold me to your heart
And I'm not the same, mom.
I never will be the same
My being is gone
My tolerance is low
My body can't handle this mind

I am everything I need
I am grounded on two feet
I have the strength built on pills
When I die;
Remember my name
