“Three Long Islands, Please!”

“Three Long Islands, Please!”

A Poem by Alexandra

I woke up in the meanest of spirits
Ready to launch myself in the New Year
I’m not weary
I’m not second guessing
Leaving you behind was always the plan
It was just the when, how and where

Thank you, Cody:
I’ll take another drink!
Stephanie will leave her wallet at the bar
I’ll chain smoke cigarettes to Feed Me Jack- Until Then in my car

Sisters
I find the essence in our youth
I want to shout
I feel so snug in these nicotine filled lungs
Let’s pee behind the Billiards place
And let’s talk about finding love
This will be the year we make things right
For the three of us
