He’s Mine

He’s Mine

A Poem by Alexandra

We walk through downtown New Brunswick
Hand in hand
Drinks in hand
Kisses on hands
Best friends awaiting
For our arrival
That will never make

“Will you, Alexandra, be my girlfriend?”
That’s all we need
I bit my lip until it bled
Because I heard in the background your f*****g voice, “ There you go. At it again, just like you know how to”
So I smiled and took the chance
Because I’ll do anything
Just to not f**k this up
