It All Means Something

It All Means Something

A Poem by Alexandra

There will come a time
Where all good things
Will come to those who have waited
And I’ve yearned
All f*****g year
To say this
But, I don’t love you anymore
And I am finally in love
With someone that actually
Gives two f***s about where my head goes at night
And I found a job as a therapist
To help other lost souls
Like me
Find their way back

This is my new year
This is my beginning
No one can take this from me

This one is heavy with bitterness. Not even going to ask about that "where my head goes at night" part. Anyway, a new love, a new job. Things are looking up. All that is needed is to substitute "their" for "there" in the last line of verse 1.
