Color Wheel

A Poem by Alexandra

Four months ago
I rotted at the bottom of our bed
Tore down my walls
Exposed my chest cavity
Where my vulnerability lies
Hues of blue
I painted all arrangements of myself along the wall
This is who you wanted
This is who I was
And I grabbed my paint and moved to the next room

Till this day
The paintings are up
Your pictures are in a file stored away
Your bracelet in a bin
My portrait on the wall
Underneath layers of yellows
No where to be seen
Forever
