Joan of Arc

Joan of Arc

A Poem by Alexandra

I think it’s safe to say now:
No one can handle this deranged soul
“You’re too irritable”
My feelings are just too transparent, love
“Why do you hate me?”
I don’t, I just wish times were different for you and me
“ You’re constantly unhappy”
I’m only happy in a room with poetry or art

I want to succumb down
Be the one for you
But, my hands reach too far out
Why do I depend on others to handle
What I can’t
I just want the urgency to live

But, this woman was never meant for love
She was only destined for war
