Don’t Worry About Me/ On My Way Down

Don’t Worry About Me/ On My Way Down

A Poem by Alexandra

Throw it down
Like you do with the rest
I will always be a number in your eyes
Forgive me for being aggressive
I just haven’t loved you

I want to be the one out the door
Not in your arms
Always in his or maybe her
Drifting further from your ideals of me
That has been hiding so well in the crevices

Exploit it all
The truth and the lies that lingered
Always unbeknownst
Forever embraced now
Finally.

This is beautiful poetry. The second stanza sank its teeth into me above the rest.
It was all god but the second read to me like you want to leave and find yourself even if it disrupts someone's pretty image of you. Which seems worthless to you...

I loved it.

I've never loved anyone...except beasts dying, because we all know that isn't ill-conceived. As if. We all have a little Spock in us...at least when life sucks. God rest Leonard Nimoy, blessed be his soul.

I once believed I loved...then found out it was a irrational thought. I really related to what you wrote...is that strange?
