“It’s Spring Cleaning”

“It’s Spring Cleaning”

A Poem by Alexandra

Is what you refer
To women who don’t care for your wellbeing
They look at the mirror
Dig their nails through the reflection
To find some asset of honesty

Sat by the grove
To tell you I loved you
Bring forth the purity in your heart
To only be equalized to another

One day
When everyone sees your flaws
And doesn’t love you
I’ll be right here
Ready to dissect your hands that touch
Lips that quivered
Ears that listened
Throw you away to the wolves

And that my friend
Will be my spring cleaning
