Where Can I Find My Love?

Where Can I Find My Love?

A Poem by Philos21
"

Poem I wrote during a random lecture at my university.

"

Where can I find my love?

In the Art Museum perhaps

Strolling and about and gazing at a Picasso

And then to perhaps to find beauty in trash.

Could I possibly see him in a park

Perhaps slightly buzzed,

eyeing down this and that,

Without a care for a formal life?

Could I see him inside the cinema,

Watching a Coen Brothers film

pondering existence

Yes, that is what's best.

But I didn't find my love in the museum.

He in fact didn't have time for that.

He was gazing at the television

Which only gave him a 20 minute reality lift

And maybe an eye-strain at best.

I couldn't find him at a park,

He was in fact sober as a bell.

He was simply at a bar,

And merely playing kiss and don't tell.

I heard he was in a movie-theatre,

but pondering over no cerebral flick.

He was sitting next to his bar buddy

Soberly caressing his midnight-shtick.

My love is in comatose.
