My Mom passed away from cancer on July 7, 2012.

Mother Memoriam

No one else has ever understood me or knew

How I am and why I do the things that I do

No one else has ever been able to keep me straight

We were close when you were here but now you are late

This dark glass walled world now in which I stay

It has become even more fragile since you went away

One little scratch and the fissures in it will spread

Until it all shatters in on me like a ton of lead
