Undone love

Undone love

A Poem by Bailey Bradish

I tried locking the doors to keep the sound of your voice out
I covered all the mirrors to keep the picture of your arms around me burned
I bang my head against the wall to try and unthink every thought of you
I bite my nails to unhold all the times I held you
I scream remembering all the I love you's, broken hearts, and broken promises
I pull out my hair thinking about all the times I did it just for you
I sleep on the floor so I don't weep while tangled up in white bed sheets that you use to hold me under, now stained black
I close the blinds so I don't see the moon you kissed me under countless times
I swallow the pills I was supposed to wash away
I tried
