True Believer

This is what I truely thought was going on in my relationship, but in the end found it was the total opposite

I believed you were there for me,

but you weren't.

I believed that you cared for me,

but you didn't.

 

I believed everthing you did for me was right,

but it wasn't.

I believed every touch we shared was true,

but it wasn't.

 

I thought I believed in everything you said,

but it was all just a bunch of lies.

I thought we would stay together forever,

but we didn't.

 

If I could truely believe anything,

its that you broke my heart.

I truely believe,

no one, not even you, can put it back together again.

 

I believed what you said,

when you told me you didn't like her.

I believed you, thats my problem.

I believed you,

but it wasn't true.

 

I believed everthing you said to me,

but I shouldn't have.

I believed it,

and regret that I ever did.

I really liked this poem. I was really able to relate to the feelings that you portrayed in this piece, especially in the last stanza:
