Black Mailboxes

Black Mailboxes

A Poem by Chirpy!
"

To conform?

"

How scary… to conform. Why would they conform?
Yet…
Black mailboxes… Cute, accepting… “Oh. Bills.”
I shall paint mine Green. Dark Green. So dark… They won’t know!
Yet…
It will be green. “Oh. Bills.”  Will be “Oh! Bills?”
They will walk, still. They will work, still.
Yet…

green
