IncenseA Poem by PoetryofProvidence
I breathe my prayer unto the wind
that it might mingle with the cries of all those before me , who seek your solace , oh Lord of my heart Unto the wind and into your hands I commit my heart , that you may look upon me with kindness teach me , oh God of all things I have sought your face , and found I am wanting , what can I offer you that you do not already possess for I would attend upon you if only I knew how. I can only prostrate myself before you for none is worthy but one I would look upon your face but the clarity of your countenance scours all before you and you have already seen what I am I am clay and offal Scour and mold me to your likeness © 2011 PoetryofProvidence |
