Flow of Life (1985)

A Poem by PoetryofProvidence

Dream on if you will
the flow of life stands still
Visions given in the night
Burn on for me very bright
One thing only do I own
Hold but for myself alone
and alone I present be
None to share the dream with me

No mind of one accord
who dares the river ford
To see the fortress tall and strong
where the homeless do belong
Within the halls who's beauty fair
in the bedrooms up the stair
Fires blazing in the hearth
rising in a heart of dearth

Hope within the soul of one
to whom do the visions come
That settled in this grand estate
bonding of the soul , my mate
Fair and tall beside me strong
Away from avaricious throng
Let me to you visions give
joined within my fortress live
Do not stand outside the gate
in the darkened world of hate
